Our story
The world of 1975 was very different. Back then, negotiation was barely understood and rarely studied. As one of our founders recalls: “My employer gave me no guidance or training on how to negotiate. I had to learn by trial and error.”
Changing times demanded a fresh approach, so Scotwork’s pioneers had a ground-breaking idea. They analysed thousands of hours of negotiation, revealed common behaviours and distilled their findings into a universal eight-step framework. This was the seed of the Scotwork negotiation course that went on to train over hundreds of thousands of people.

Khoo Kay Teong
Khoo engaged with negotiation skills at Scotwork back in 2007 and this has helped him progress to where he is today. Working with semi-government to small companies to multi-national companies as Business Development Manager and Senior Account Manager for the last 30 years.
A graduate in Master of Business Administration from University of Portsmouth, UK, he has worked in Malaysia and Thailand for many years. He has performed business development travelling across South East Asia dealing in Information Technology, Reverse Logistics (After Sales-Warranty Management), Automation and Capital Equipment industries. He has also managed an Information Computer Technology (ICT) distribution company in Malaysia and Thailand for a number of years.
KT Khoo lives in Penang, Malaysia, speaking both English and Malay, and loves to try out new technologies, reading and attending online courses.
